The Cost Of Ignorance
As a teen who is having trouble driving it’s this specific problem I am afraid of. I try to be as safe as possible on the road but those who have even gotten a license are even more irresponsible then the current me which is very concerning. This is what I call the cost of ignorance which is what reckless driving is down to the bare minimal, it is IGNORANCE. Younger people need to realize that you are responsible for yourself and everything around you in a vehicle. A vehicle isn’t something to be abused but let’s get into the truth.
Reckless driving is driving with a willful or wanton disregard for safety or the operation of a vehicle in which you show a willful disregard of consequences. When someone is cited for this traffic offense, it is because they have shown a disregard for the rules of the road and may or may not have caused an accident or property damage. Even though you may be young if the crim is serious you can still be charged as an adult. Most states have laws addressing willfully dangerous driving. In some states, the violation is called “reckless driving,” while other states may use the terms “careless driving” or “dangerous driving” to describe the same violation. Reckless driving is one of the most serious traffic offenses and is typically charged as a misdemeanor. Conviction can result in penalties ranging from heavy fines to incarceration in certain cases, depending on state laws.
Reckless driving is a serious charge and can result in steep fines, loss of driving privileges, or even jail time in some instances. If you have been cited with a reckless driving ticket and are going to plead not guilty, you would be wise to contact an experienced traffic ticket attorney in your area. Reckless driving is a serious offense punishable by fines and or imprisonment. Those charged with reckless driving should contact an attorney immediately. In some states, the charge of reckless driving is also known as careless driving or dangerous driving. Reckless driving is a broad category and drivers that commit moving violations which endanger the lives of others will be charged with this offense.
Drunk driving is an extremely serious crime as well and one conviction means hundreds of other times they drove drink and got away with it, anyone who is willing to drive drunk is saying they are willing to risk the lives of thousands of other people. It is no different than intentionally shooting thousands of bullets into the air, maybe they will hit someone and maybe they will not but you are risking others so you can have fun. As a minor you may not understand it but your actions could result in the death of a mother or a father. Please stay responsible on the road
