Your mother weeps at glare of blanket wrapped around you at birth. Your father loses himself in the never-ending pool of alcohol trying to forget the doctors saying “There is nothing left to do..”. Your sister drowning in her tears asking herself if it was her fault? The simple message “Are you almost home?” The simple act of checking your phone while driving. It leads to the end, the end of everything. Your friends staring endlessly at the gym floors expecting to hear your sneakers squeak one more time. Your grandmother praying on her knees with the bible beside her to ask God for help. Your casket is lowering as you can see your family members grieve and willingly throw themselves at you. Your sight becomes blocked by the mounds of dirt being thrown upon you. Yells from your mother crying. Your father holding her back so she doesn’t fall into your grave with you. Days of non stop agony and pain. Everything comes with a price. Life comes at too high a cost. Hospital bills pile in the mailbox because your parents cannot bare to see your name without you attached to it. Everything can be different, you can different. Turn off your phone, all it takes is a simple off button. Texts can wait but, life cannot.
