Preventing Distracted Driving

Teens are distracted all the time when they drive. They could be distracted by their phone, friends, family, or food. In my opinion, the biggest distraction is their cellphones. I know it won’t be easy to prevent these distractions, but I got an idea that could solve the cellphone problem. Cellphone companies or the companies that make the cellphones need to set something up that would automatically put the cellphones in a mode that won’t let teens or anybody use them. They won’t be able to text anyone, go on social media, or play any game. The only time it can be used if there is an emergency, you can click a emergency button that would only call 911. I know that there is something similar to this for texting only but not for other features on their phones.

What made me come up with this idea is that on my phone I have a mode where when I drive in my car, I won’t be able to text anyone. The only problem is I can still do everything else. I can check my social media and play games. Texting and driving happens a lot but teens also check their social media when they drive. That is why I came up with an idea that effects the whole phone not just the text messages.
