THE DANGERS OF DISTRACTED DRIVING
Teenage Drivers, one of the highest statistical death percentages in the United States today has become one of the most dangerous age groups in history. Talking on the phone or texting while driving can have serious consequences. These consequences can lead up to accidents or sometimes worse. Not only would you become a danger to other drivers on the road but to yourself as well. You never know how in a quick split second could you end someone’s life and have to live with that guilt for the rest of your life. It isn’t worth the effort to answer a phone call or to text a really important message. As a teenage boy in high school, I have witnessed a lot of death recently that were due to car accidents. Specifically, I lost my best friend who had just graduated last year in 2018. He was loved by so many friends in our school and now he’s gone. This death count of young teenagers getting killed to this day has to stop. We cannot ignore the fact that young people’s lives are at stake. In order to prevent this from ever happening again, we should educate them to show how a simple smart phone can change your life forever,
Using your smart phone while driving is not worth the effort. You should instead pull over at a safe location to make a phone call and not while on the road. This simple action can possibly change you forever that you wish you could travel back in time and not try to call or text while driving.
