Curiosity Killed the Cat, Texting and Driving Killed the Moose
On a bitterly cold winter day, a teenage driver gives in to the temptation of social media despite the traffic. Distracted by her device, the teenager nearly fatally collides with a cyclist. She puts her phone down for a moment, but ultimately casts aside her common sense in order to check her phone one more time—the last time. She crashes into an unexpecting moose, sending her into a deadly spiral. Her car hits a snowbank, catapulting her body onto an icy lake. Her weight breaks the ice, sending her unconscious body into the freezing depths. Never to emerge again, the police find her frozen skeleton in the lake the next day. They also find, unscathed on the water’s edge, her cell phone.
