Seat Belts Save Lives
You are leaving your house, driving to pick up your little sister from school. You are about ten minutes late, so you are in a rush. You are driving on the road to get to your sister’s school, going about 5 miles over the speed limit, but you are in a rush, so it’s no big deal. Before you know it, you are going 10 miles over, than 15, then eventually you are going 20 miles over the speed limit. You come up to a curve, but you don’t slow down. You slam into the guard rail. Good thing you were wearing your seatbelt! Oh wait… you weren’t. Not wearing your seatbelt can be fatal, and can cause you to lose your life. 50% of people who lose their lives in a collisions each year would still be alive if they would’ve taken the five seconds to buckle their seatbelt. Being late is better than not having a life anymore. Seat belts are there to save your life, not for you to be careless and not use them.
This creative writing piece is about a person who is driving and is in a rush. They don’t put on their seat belt and get into an accident, resulting in their death.
