Dear Driver

I am a pedestrian, I look left and right before crossing a street, Dear Driver, Do you see me? Are you putting your phone to the side to focus on the road? Or are you trying to drive and also hold your phone to your ear? I am a fellow driver, I am on my way to work, Dear fellow driver, Do you see my car? Are you keeping in mind how fast you are going? Or are you speeding away to get wherever you need to be? Dear all drivers, You may not have control over everything but… What about your choices? Are you doing something?

Description

This is a poem I put together because I wanted to draw attention to the many questions drivers should be keeping in mind while they are driving. The pedestrian and fellow driver do not depict anyone in particular. Rather, they represent some of the people drivers should consider while on the road.
