As the number one killer of teens in America, distracted driving continues to decimate the lives of young drivers nationwide. In this short film entitled: “Driven By Excess: A Look Into The Power Of Distractions,” I showcase the impact distractions can have on focus by placing them within my Distracted Driving PSA itself. By incorporating this strategy, I hope to accomplish three unique things: 1. Broadcast a PSA in a format that grabs the attention of teens via uniqueness and relatability. 2. “Advertise” the power distractions have over the ability of participants to perform a task as easy as listening. 3. Relate the inability for viewers to successfully internalize the knowledge given in this PSA to the inefficient and unfocused experience it is to drive with distractions.
