Keep Your Eyes on the Road
Keep away from distractions, like your phone and friends. Everyone thinks they can send a text on the road. Every time they do, they Put people in danger. You can be different. One thing at a time. Use common sense, and Reach for your phone later. Every call You make can wait. Every text will Still be there when you arrive. One moment you look down, Next into oncoming headlights. To keep yourself and others safe, Hand your device to someone else. Enough is enough. We can prevent this. Remember my words. Share them with everyone. One day they may save your life. A smart decision now could impact you for years to come. Don’t Drive Distracted.
If young people knew how distracted driving would affect them personally, they would be much more likely cut out distractions. Maybe they would see that whatever they thought was so important could wait until they have a chance to pull over. This is the drive behind my poem, which spells “keep your eyes on the road” with the beginning letters of each line.
