Why would you do this?

If you wouldn’t play with fire, why would you do this? If you wouldn’t jump in front of a moving train, why would you do this? If you wouldn’t go up to a young child and hurt them, why would you do this? Driving while distracted is no difference than doing all these. In the end, these will have the same result: the death of another or yourself. Walking while on our phone isn’t the easiest thing to do and we might end up embarrassing yourself by walking into that pole that just so happen to randomly appear out of no where. What’s the difference while on the road? The difference is the pole wont be in the middle of the street, but rather maybe a person. Putting your phone on mute before getting on the rode is the safest thing that will prevent you from getting distracted, but the only way this is possible is having the power within yourself to do so. If you are not independent enough from your phone to turn it off for a few minutes, you aren’t to be depended to be trusted to drive on our roads. Don’t let the sound of a text fool you; if you wouldn’t let a killer in your house distract you from getting away, why let this small device distract you from the road? If you wouldn’t play with a grizzly bear, why would you do this? If you wouldn’t drink poison, why would you do this? If you wouldn’t commit murder, why would you do this?

Description

It’s obvious why you wouldn’t play with fire or hurt a child, so why isn’t it obvious to not get on your phone while on the road?
