A Second

Sirens could be faintly heard closing the distance between them and the collision site. Broken glass, stained crimson red, could be seen scattered throughout the road and pavement with a phone dead center in the middle of all it; by those who were passing by. For those that chose to stay, their voices could be heard yelling one after another. Groans and shallow breathing could be heard between the raised voices until it just stopped. Lifeless eyes could be seen staring back at the crowd. A life being lost in the blink of an eye. A scared family that could have been spared the grief, the horror, and confusion that shortly followed after a ringing. A second lost that could have made a difference. Reckless driving that could have been prevented.

A person (male/female) is driving down the street on their way home, while being on the phone. The person didn’t have to be on the phone but they had bad judgement in that second and because of that it ended up costing them their life.By them recklessly driving they have affected all the lives of those around who have to suffer knowing that they won’t ever be able to see that person again.
