Driving Distracted

You thought that you could take a glance At the phone, that sits near your pants It will only take a second, you thought, But now look at the things that it has brought Death, Destruction, Pain, Suffering, and Guilt All to destroy the relationships you have built But cell phones are not the only distraction Just think of all of the other things that make you lose your traction Friends, sights, music, fights You’ll want to make it home alright Your parents will want to know that you will behave So that they do not have to see you in the grave Just think of all of the people you could save If you did not drive distracted at all today So the next time you put your keys in the ignition Make this your new mission: Vow to drive safely and undistracted Your actions will have subtracted From the number of deaths due to driving distracted.
