Wake up

Aranza C

Wake up! Wake up! Was all I could say at that moment. Everything ached. And all was silent. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up mother! Don’t leave me. You promised you would always be here for me. For the good and bad moments. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up father! Who is going to walk me down the aisle. You are suppose to be there for my first dance. Wake up! Wake up! Don’t leave me. I feel so alone. Within a blink of an eye I lost everything. All because a teenage girl couldn’t turn off her cellphone. Was that phone really more important than my life? Was that text really more important than my parents life? You took everything from me including my life.

My entry is a poem that is about a girl who was in a car accident with her parents and they all died because a teen girl was texting while she was driving.
