The screen I know so well, The ring I know so well. In my hand it’s second nature, The screen, as cold as a glacier. It’s my mom, I must respond, We were like a chemical bond. All my friends do it, I can’t just ignore and sit. Just one quick glance, But I didn’t get a second chance. She sits in my room and weeps, She loved me heaps. It’s been 12 years, But she still has tears. Not a day goes by, Where she has a dry eye. If only I had seen that stop sign, Instead of that one line. “Get home safe”
Teens are always glancing at their phone while driving. Whether it’s checking their notifications or changing a song. Most teens don’t stop until an accident occurs but sometimes people don’t get a second chance.
