In this day and age, distracted driving is not uncommon. When just one person diverts their eyes from the road, removes their hands from the wheel, or lets their mind wander away from driving for just a second, they are driving straight towards their grave, dragging along anyone else who is involved in the accident. The number of distracted driving cases has skyrocketed in the past decade to the thousands, killing approximately nine people every day. It is time for this form of suicide and murder to end. With this being said, it is important that we as a community educate all drivers on the consequences of distracted driving. There have been one too many early deaths due to distracted driving and it is time for this killer to finally be put away and for minds behind wheels to stay focused on the road.
