Smartphones causing dumb decisions
Smartphones are one of the most widely used electronic appliances and a huge success in the technology industry, and are as big as automobiles are when they were invented. However, when these two mix, the product is distracted driving. The distracted driving stereotype often surrounds teenagers, but also applies to adults as well as the elderly, and therefore a major issue for all ages. In the U.S. a citizen should be able to report another driver using their device while driving, under a citizens arrest style method say via a webcam installed in the car, such as those on the helmets of motorcyclists. This would result in the evidence of a driver using their devices while driving, without requiring the witnessing driver having to use their own personal device. For even further incentive, a dollar reward should be posted for someone who reports another person and that person is convicted,
