Take the Time
Mistakes happen, But what happens after the mistake is what truly matters. You could take your life unintentionally You could take someone else’s You could take an innocent child that had his whole life ahead of him In an instant, it all can change In an instant, someone can be on the edge of life and death. You have a choice. But will you take it? Take the time. It takes only a few seconds. Fasten your seatbelt, Put down your phone, Turn down the radio, Move your eyes back to the road. Don’t endanger someone else’s life for a text to a cute boy, Don’t take away opportunities from someone for a good song, So don’t drive distracted Because the outcome won’t only affect you, But those you love, And even those innocent bystanders in the way of your distractions
This is a poem that I wrote about distracted driving.
