Was It That Important?
You wake up to your mom crying and screaming. I bet you thought you were dreaming, When all it was were sirens that you were hearing. You just got into a tragic accident. From those bruises on you, it’s pretty evident. Yeah, you’re alive, but what about that innocent pedestrian? I bet that text was so important. I bet it was your best friend telling you something pretty urgent. Now, you have to pay the price for this burden. Now that I got your attention, It would be a good idea to mention That in thirty minutes, you’ll be handcuffed and sent to prison. I bet that text was so important. I bet it was your best friend telling you something pretty important. Now you have to pay the price for this burden. Do you think you deserve to walk free? Or should they lock you up and throw away the key? I think you have no option but to pay this fee.
This a poem is about an individual who killed an innocent pedestrian because he or she was distracted by a text message that they received just seconds before the accident occurred.
