As time winds down, my heart is pounding The alarm for my curfew is now sounding It is my mother I know she is worried Her response wise and quiet astounding. She says slow down because she knows I am hurried I feel relieved and am no longer flurried And though that date would be super fun I rather not be prematurely buried. She says she wants me to see the sun And reckless driving has the impact of a gun By slowing down, I have already won And now my mother gets to keep her son.
A son tries to make it home before curfew so he won’t be grounded. Once his mother calls and gives him some wise advice he realizes that his life is more valuable than he is treating it.
