I promise I’ll be good momma I’m going to a party momma But I promise I’ll be good I won’t drink or do drugs I promise I’ll make it home I won’t set my drink down I won’t fall into the peer pressure I’ll be home by midnight I promise I’ll be good I left the party with 45 minutes to spare But no one told me about the distracted driver that would be there As I round the corner I hear a deafening screech But it was too late momma my luck was out of reach I’m sorry I didn’t make it home momma I wish I could come now Oh I miss you so much But I promise momma I was good.
