Vision seemed to be one-sided, I saw her, she didn’t see me. My brother and I just had just gotten out of school. We got in my car, heading home. When I approached the lights, they were green, and the lady on the other side, blew a red arrow ending up hitting my brother and I, totaling my car. As soon as it happened, the only concern of mine, was the life of my brother. It had never come to my attention how often teens drive distracted. This girl made a decision to run a red light, unknowingly forcing the consequences upon us. My brother now has long-lasting injuries that will stay with him for the foreseeable future. By sharing my story, I hope to educate/impact distracted teens behind the wheel of the consequences of their actions.
