Lost

Description

This acrylic painting can be viewed in many ways, depending on how one perceives it or is feeling. I wanted to show the perspective of a mother who lost her child due to a reckless driver. Many teens and adults do not realize the cost of what one simple text message could do to an individual. All it takes is a second. That’s it. My artwork is a picture of a mother weeping in pain after the loss of her child. I cant imagine the sorrow that a parent feels from losing a child in a car accident. What’s sad is that, it can be 100 % prevented. I wanted this picture to grab viewers attention; to imagine the sorrow of the empty hearts that have gone through these tragedies. Is a text or call that important? To risk another human life, or your own?
