All You Could’ve Done

Did you think of the little girl in the backseat? Did you think of her mother that was next to you? All you could’ve done was put down the phone. Did you think of the pedestrian crossing the street? Did you think of the cars behind you? All you could’ve done was put down the phone. Did you think you was going to crash? Did you think there would be a fine? All you could’ve done was put down the phone. Now look at where you ended up. Being the person that caused the death of two. All you could’ve done was put down the phone. Driving and texting is not something that should be done. Instead of you saying what you could’ve done, say what you did. Don’t drive and text!

Description

I wrote this poem in light of the all the people involved in car accidents because of drivers who drive and text. Many have lost their lives, along with their loved ones. So instead of us saying what we could’ve, let’s say what we did.
