This PSA (Public Service Announcement) is based around distracted driving. It is a major problem on the road, with people eating, texting, drinking, or simply not paying attention. However, distracted driving is the leading cause for death in American teens. “Focus” follows the seemingly regular day of four teenagers, each in their sports setting. Whether catching, serving, dancing, or running, each teen has something in common: their impenetrable focus when practicing. With the day coming to an end, these athletes pack up and head home after a hard day’s work. Going home, two of the teens are walking while the other two are driving. In a horrible turn of events, the two boys driving are roughhousing in the car and take their focus off the road. This resulted in the death of one of their friends who was crossing the street. Rewinding back, the PSA then shows what should have actually happened; all the athletes making it home safely because the driver and the passenger did not take their attention off the road. Sports require focus, so does driving.
