Ok people, below you will find all kinds of great information regarding the super cool Create Real Impact Contest. The first section is general information that each contestant needs know; the second section is split up into the five categories (i.e. Essay/Speech, Music/Song, Video, Art and App). Remember, all entries must address the very real problem of distracted and reckless driving (i.e. texting, phone use, eating and drinking (non-alcoholic) beverages in the car, conversation with friends, putting on makeup, reading, speeding—everyday distractions that become deadly when done behind the wheel), which is the number one killer of teens in America. - A Story, Impassioned Argument, Poetry, or whatever your creative mind can conceive.

App: For iPhone or Droid
- Create a killer app for either the iPhone or Droid platforms that creates a "driving mode" for the phone
- Be creative and inventive, but make sure it actually works!
- Special bonus points to anyone who can create an app utilizing the "Star 65 to Stay Alive" concept. The basic idea behind the *65 concept is to create an app that will allow a cellphone user to punch *-6-5 in to their phone before starting to drive (after putting on your seatbelt), which will cause all incoming calls and text messages to be disabled, but an automated response will go out to the person calling you or texting you that says “I am driving right now, but when I reach my destination safely I will call you back.” Then when you reach your destination safely you hit *65 to receive the incoming calls & texts.
